The back of the packers are thinning out around the MG checkpoint. One by one the teams are headed up the trail. The team here is eating like a bunch of piggies, Ross has fed them 3 full coolers of food so far and has them all buried in the straw with blankets on. They should sleep well tonght, and i am sure Ross will too. I leave here in the morning headed back to Anchorage. It would be fun to head the other way and witness this epic race first hand.

Ross had a cold run through the night on his way into MG this morning. The dogs flew in here this AM. The dogs looked great and full of energy arriving here. THe team is solid and eating well. No serious issues with the dogs. As I am writing here Ross is telling me his tales from the trail. Rainy Pass was very challenging with low visibilty, high winds etc.. Ross made up for his extended stay in Rohn by runinng to Nik in one run. I am releived to hear no talk of scratching and a good attitude about going forward.
FEW!! Finally Ross is into Nik, maybe that will be the hurdle that he needs to cross. I am sure Ross is feeling the pains of 300 miles of hell. THe team was cooking right along on the tracker moving around 10 mph. And he has 15 of them. I am,still not going to give him sympathy when he gets here to MG, and he is not scratching , Karen will see to that!
